The Nitom Expander is designed to fit around the buccal and labial aspect of the upper arch, and fits into the EOT tubes of upper first molar bands.
It can be used to either hold, stabilise, expand or contract the upper arch.
It does this from the buccal, rather than the palatal aspect, and provides an alternative to the palatal devices.

It is a ‘U’ shaped device, with Nitom catches present on both ends.
It can be worn either full time, or part time, depending on the requirements of the case. The Nitom catches retain the expander in place, and allow the patient to remove it for cleaning, if required.

The Nitom Expander is made in five different sizes, and has omega loops to allow for fine adjustments.

* Correct bilateral/unilateral crossbites
* Expand or contract upper arches during fixed appliance treatment
* Stabilise upper arch after orthognathic surgery
